JOY Fellowship Worship Service

JOY Fellowship is a contemporary worship service that features a live praise band leading us in uplifting, vibrant, modern Christian music, a less formal atmosphere, a sermon from our minister or lay servant and holy communion* and takes place in Holland Hall.

Traditional Worship Service

The 10:30 am traditional worship service includes “call and response” readings, hymns, prayers read out by the entire congregation, a sermon from our minister or lay servant and organ music, special musical performances as well as our wonderful Chancel Choir and takes place in our Sanctuary.

Here at First United Methodist Church, worship invites you into the presence of the living God with focus on the Word of God and sermons relevant to your life in today’s world.

  • Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month during our traditional worship service, as well as weekly during our JOY Fellowship contemporary worship service, and is always open to all who wish to share in God’s grace.
  • Coffee Fellowship – a time of fellowship and refreshments – is offered after the service in the fellowship hall and is a great time to meet people.  All are welcome!
  • Sunday School is available and begins at 9 am during the typical school calendar term.  We maintain a Safe Sanctuary Policy to help make our church a holy place of safety for all children.  You may register your children any Sunday morning.  **Sunday School typically does not take place during the summer or on holiday weekends.

Special Worship

At various times throughout the year we hold special worship services to honor significant events in the liturgical calendar (Ash Wednesday, Holy Week & Easter, Thanksgiving, Advent & Christmas Eve) or to meet the needs of community (healing services, blessings of the animals, etc.).

Check our worship schedule page for the monthly worship details!
